I like some anime. No hentai, though; tentacles don't do it for me. :p |

There's some good anime out there, though. Not everything has to be that Pokemon/Dragonball Z kind of crap. I particularly recommend Cowboy Bebop, Initial D, Trigun, and the Ghost in the Shell Stand-Alone Complex. |

Lupin III rules. It's silly, but funny as hell. |

GTO is my fav so far, followed by Cowboy Bebop. I actually liked the first Mobile Suit Gundam, along with the multipe offshoots. But hey, I also like Star Blazers...

Wow, star blazers...Is that still playing somewhere?
For Hentai, the only difference I see between american porn and Hentai is in Hentai the women don't look like they are enjoying it.
I'm with lemming. 8 Drippy tentacles trying to penetrate a girl is kinda...hmmm (j/k)
The worst so far was the first legend of the overfiend. Rated as the most grotesque anime ever 10 yrs ago.

#11, SBs is just on DVD - the originals are too scratchy for TV release... the japanese versions of it are VIOLENT in comparison |

Some span forever like Ramna 1/2. I think Drag-on balls is ok but there is so much other shows. I recently learned that there are bad anime movies/OVA/series. Some are just hard to watch to americans.
Example: G4 a.k.a. tech TV's Anime Unleashed. *puke* |

#12, I figured we saw the super edited version just like Battle of the Planets. I was nice to see all the episodes to realize how dated they are. I was very young when both came out on regular TV so I have a cloudy memory of them. |

#13, Gasaraki is a pretty damn awful series - no main character development...
I really like Miyazaki movies - like Spirited Away, Kikis Delivery Service, etc - sure it's fantasy stories about little girls, but hey the animation is excellent, and some are just freaky.
Kurouni Kenshin isn't bad either - not very serious and fun. |

#10, Yeah, most/all of the cars are computer generated in the outside shots. It's fun to watch, though, and they managed to blend it in a little better in Second Stage, and it's gotten better from there. In the current season, the cars are still computer rendered, but they're basically cel-shaded, and it works.
Regarding some of the other things I've seen and liked:
Cowboy Bebop is, of course, excellent, and the episodes are pretty varied in style; there's a little something for everyone.
Trigun, which I also recommended, is amusing, but it's one of those love it or hate it kind of things. It's sort of a sci-fi/western spoof.
GITS: SAC is sort of set in an alternate universe from the GITS movies. The characters are better developed and more likeable. Animation quality is good overall, but the real appeal is the plot--it's fairly intricate. The whole thing plays out like one very long and confusing detective story with a lot of intrigue and backstabbing. |

That's what so great about them. Characterization with multiple dimensions and plot development. Most don't do multiple sub-plots I noticed. All characters are focused on one main plot.
Heck, since they don't have room to make live movies, might as well focus your attention in drawing them. |

I've seen future episodes of Inu Yasha. Bad news. That series is LONG and they do the same stuff over and over and over...
For the 1000000 time...yes, we know how Narraku was created!!! |

#9, I tried watching mobil suit gundam, I just couldn't get into it. I did watch and enjoy both G gundam and gundam wing though, I can't seem to get in on the begining of the other series.
Trigun was great, FLCL was great (in a fucked up I-have-no-idea-what-just-happened sort of way), and of course Cowboy Bebop is fucking great |
