the gto gets the 6.0-liter 400hp v8, hood scoops, and separated exhaust pipes for 2005

i dont know which one i would pick though...the gto handles better in the corners with the irs, but the mustang sings at higher rpm with the dohc...hmm tough call

GTO for me, even if it does look like a Cadillac Catera.

My opinions:

The better car? The GTO.
The better looking car? The Mustang.

GTO for me... without side and rear skirts, but with Opel Omega front panels, grille and hood, to make it look more subtle.

I think I like the GTO better on both counts.

it's a tough one for me. I'd have to say the Mustang, just because it looks that much cooler.

even though I hate the new GTO, I would pick it provided it doesn't have all the smart controls that the Mustang has. just like Ford to give it 300hp and 3:55 gears but then restrict its use

the new computer and electric throttle control make it hard to drive the piss out of it. 5.0's test of it showed that it even with TC turned off the computer still wants to stop it from doing a burnout

I'd take the Goat. The Mustang looks a little better, but the GTO isn't bad looking, and every other advantage I can think of goes to the GTO. The Mustang has a live rear-axle, which I prefer, but that's a very minor point. The GTO has a nicer interior, roughly the same features, and a much better engine.

and I quote
"In fact I had my first introduction to the powers of the computer in the kick panel, when we headed off to a desolate road to capture our burnout cover shot. even with the traction control turned off, the car seemed to back off the power to keep the tires from spinning......but it felt as if some all-powerful force was spent initially bent on spoiling my fun."

#17, lol who cares, so it doesnt smoke the wheels for 10 minutes straight, but you CAN paint a couple of stripes from a stop, whats the point of burning out anyway, just a waste of tires
