#19, That's exactly what I'm referring to. The whole "human cartoon" schtick that Carrey, Farley, Sandler, and some of the others seem to have built careers on..well, it does nothing for me.

#21, Trying to imitate Robin Williams, perhaps?

Adam Sandler was never funny to me, Chris Farley was okay and Jimmy Fallon is just not funny at all. I'd rather watch Mad TV.

#22, Even Williams isn't quite that bad. He just can't act.

I honestly miss some of the old SNL-type comedians like Aykroyd and Chevy Chase, etc. A lot of the movies they went on to star in were cheese at best, but at least they didn't have the same "look at me, I'm supposed to be funny!!!" obnoxiousness we've come to accept these days.

#25, I find Robin Williams hilarious, it's just people who try to imitate him that never get anywhere.

I've also found him to be an excellent actor, especially in One Hour Photo. He sucked in Insomnia, but I think part of that was the lame-ass dialogue they gave him.

#29, Another good performance. Hell, he ever had some good dramatic moments in Good Morning, Vietnam.

Most would point out Good Will Hunting, which he was also good in, but I hesitate to mention that film because I thought it sucked sour frog's ass otherwise.

I LOVE "Awakenings" (I have it on DVD)... it's great, they've got Robin Williams in the lead role, Julie Kavner in a supporting role, the movie itself directed by Penny Marshall... yet it's so dead serious, with some mild comic relief, VERY minor and mild.

Sure Bob DeNiro's in the movie, and does a great job, I just think he's really only a side character, and Williams should have been nominated for Best Actor for that movie (DeNiro WAS nominated for Best Actor in this movie, which I think is just wrong... his role was not the lead character.)

Meh, he just strikes me as a bit sappy. He's nowhere near as bad as the other assclowns, though.
