Description:
This is waht is left of the airbox in my first car. Note the deformation of the filter and lack of airbox's bottom. It was a BIG bang.
What caused it was a mistuned LPG installation. Cost of a new one-200$!!! An airbox for a goddamn FIAT costs 200$! Guess it's time to visit the junkyard...

This would be a good lesson for ricers: messed up the intake=HP loss. The thing barely pulls and the more throttle the bigger problems the engine has. At 100% open throttle it almost dies.
Plus, one time I managed to rip the exhaust off just behind the headers *clap clap* (hey, it was already almost rusted to dust) and the car ran really weak. Messed up exhaust=HP loss, dear ricers.

#1, Update: yesterday got a new airbox. Used, but with tubing (someone took it off in a hurry *rolls eyes*) and even an old filter in it! Everything for less than 100$ plus new filter of course.
The place were I got it is an enourmous swap meet near local race track (held twice a week). They got everything (even whole cars but in another part of the area), some pretty amazing stuff too. Like a fender from the 911 (!!!) lying amidst van gearboxes. Of course, no one asks where those parts came from... chances are you'll buy back a part that dissapeared off your vehicle (rims, turn signals, etc.) just yesterday! Yay!!!

The garage put a safety valve on the airbox. Next time the only thing that gets blown to pieces is a rubber membrane.
