That asian woman ghost has become something of an internet-wide photoshop cliche. She's fake to start with, but a lot of other people have used her claiming that she showed up in their holiday snapshots or whatever.

I understand the Japanese version of it (Ju-On) was considerably scarier. Funny, when you consider that the American version was directed by the same guy, but there were supposedly quite a few differences.
