#1, Yes, it sold for around $200,000 when introduced in 1992. (I think it was '92) |

#3, I saw an episode of Top Gear where Tiff took one around a track and said it was "an absolute pig", with horrible brakes, steering and understeer EVERYWHERE. Worst gearchange he had ever tried, too.

#4, Understeer? LOL. As a driver of an FWD econobox I know understeer is very much just a matter of driving style (I can get it sideways on snow and gravel, I'm mastering tarmac now). Guys from Lotus know it too. Clarksson took an Elise to the track and said the understeer was horrible. The Lotus Guy (can't remember the name) came, and did a couple of laps, mostly sideways. Clarksson said he must be getting old :) |

#5, My Tercel hatch (1.5 12V SOHC 78 HP with a three speed auto) used to lift the inside rear wheel in fast corners... that was fun. And growing up in Chicago, sideways in snow was always a possibility, I actually once saw 85 MPH standing still with the front wheels on ice. |
