Kinda cool, but too bad is has the Euro front end.
I'm not particularly interested in GT4. The day they bring back the used car system and lose the strong Japanese car bias, update the customization engine, and give up on the Rally racing modes is the day I'll just back onto the Gran Turismo train. |

The game itself was tighter, but the new menus were irritating (I hated trying to read that scrolling text), the lack of used cars sucked, and the overall lack of variety in the cars hit the game kind of hard. |

i'm surprised the ps2 has this kind of processing power...it looks better than xbox, but then again, it might be choppy in final form |

#3, Being a japanese game it will (almost certainly) maintain a 'bias' in car selection. If you were born and raised in japan do you think you would care for american cars the way you do? I don't. And I don't see a company creating different versions of a game such as GT4 for different regions. Those car models take an incredible amount of time to produce, it just doesn't make sense to spend the money and take the time to make 'GT4 North American' and 'Euro GT4' when they can just make GT4 and have it sell like motherfucking hotcakes.
And I suspect you'll "be into" GT4 the way you got "into" GTA:SA
here is the (supposed) full japanese release car list for anyone who managed to miss it

I believe skid repeatedly dismissed it as gimmick filled nonsense, with the exception of cars rusting, but eventualy purchased it only to suffer failures in procuring a particular desired car.
But I could be mistaken. |

I have no doubts of why they did it, but it doesn't change the fact.

Don't hold your breath. You'll finally pass out.
Seriously, do a search for my posts regarding SA, and you'll notice that I never expressly said that I wouldn't play or buy it. I said that I wasn't insterested. And I wasn't. Upon the game's release, I got curious, played it, and decided I (for the most part) enjoyed it. I do maintiain it's full of lame gimmicks, but no game is perfect.
Also notice I didn't expressly say that I won't play GT4...I said I'm not interested. Maybe I'll get a wild hair, decide to play it, and then buy it if I like it. But considering it's shaping up to be nothing more than Gran Turismo 3 with some more cars, I highly doubt it. I'm giving it about a 10% chance that I ever even play it. |

I never understand half the Skyline list on any given GT game. What exactly is the difference between a Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (R34) ('00) and a Skyline GT-R V-Spec II N1 (R34) ('00)? And why do they have an R33 GT-R from 1996, an R33 GT-R from 1997, and an R33 GT-R from 1998? How many changes were there in those years? |

Will ist be biased in terms of number of jap. cars vs. other cars or will the japanese cars be the better cars in the game? I have not played the previous GT-games? How was it? |

#18, N1 is the lightwieght suposedly. I used to be obsessed with Skylines. In 1998, the hedalights were changed a slight bit. Bigger, more crystal lenses, then finally with the R34 they got HID headlights IIRC. |
