I purchased a 6-foot tall bookcase for my room, and my mom let me borrow her Tracker to lug it home. I knew it would be a tight squeeze, so I figured I needed the front passenger seat to be as flat as possible... so, I pushed the seat back really far back...but it wasn't low enough, so I pulled the bar underneath the seat to move it as far forward as possible, which then I was planning on lowering the seat back even further, since it could then clear the rear seats which were folded flat too.

Didn't go according to plan... when I had almost completely moved the seat forward, I slipped, and my hand triggered the seatback release lever, sending it hurtling up and over towards my direction... it then slammed my head between it and the A-pillar of the truck. HURTS LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. I have two giant bruises on my head now, on both sides. ...and a throbbing headache, which doesn't help the fact that I'm still trying to recover from a migraine two days ago.

#3, 'Tis a diagram, not a true representation of the vehicle's colors.

Anywho, I eventually drove over to the furniture store when my head felt a little better, and managed to squeeze the bookcase into the truck, and brought it home. God bless the man who invented ibuprofen. I still feel a little dizzy...

#5, Get a prescription for some Maxalt RPD. It works hard on migraines.

#7, I've probably been on every migraine prescription out there... none of them have worked. My best strategy is to not drink caffeine, which I haven't done since January 2002. That alone reduced the occurances of my migraines from 1-2 a month to 1-2 a year. When I do get the migraines, my strategy then is to take the maximum safe doseage of either ibuprofen or Excedrin, put the A/C way down, turn off all the lights, close all the curtains, and try to fall asleep before the real pain starts. If I'm lucky, I can sleep for about four hours, which is how long the worst pain usually lasts.

#6, Eh?

I don't know exactly what you're referring to, but here's the timeline...

This morning after work, went in my car to the furniture store, and bought the bookcase.
Went home, asked to borrow the Tracker from my mom.
While still at home, was setting up the Tracker to carry the bookcase, when THIS happened.
Rested my head with an icepack for about an hour.
Then went out, finished setting up the Tracker, went to the store, picked up the bookcase, and drove it home.

Cute illustration, looks like you are a decent artist... but MY GOD MAN! you have a looooong torso.

EDIT:

This reminds me of the time my mom left my brother and I in the Tercel when we were about 10 (me) and 7 (him). I thought he was wearing his seatbelt but must have just taken it off... I was sitting in the back, him in the front. I reached around the side, pulled the release and kicked the seatback with all my might. His head cracked the fucking windshield, but the really funny thing is that he said it didn't even hurt!

#12, hehe...long torso... nah, I just wanted to draw myself as simply as possible... I put enough detail into the Tracker, that I felt putting a lot of detail into my person would have just distracted from what's going on in the picture.

I would like to think that I'm a decent artist. I know I don't suck at least.

#13, Indeed. That is very impressive. I would be interested to see what you can do without the hindrance of a mouse.

I stabbed myself accidentally with a SWAT knife... I was doing the interior of the monte, replacing some of the trim pieces. There was a wire from the previous owners lame lighted rear view mirror... so instead of getting the wire cutters...

I said to myself, I'll use my brand new pocket knife...

I clicked it open, tried to slice the wire, and ended up driving the point of the knife into my left middle finger... it went right under the skin at the top 1st joint right up to the top...

Things went kind of black with pain and I shook my hand - spattering the front windshield with blood...

after calming down, I bandaged it up and ended up going to the bar that night...

I still have a nasty looking scar and no sensation at the end of that finger... oh fun.

and when I was 8, I fell onto a stick, almost poking my eye out ...but that's another story...
