My fuckups:
1. I was about 12 (?) at the time. I was speeding down a hill with my bike. I hit a sewer grate... I've lost control and... woke up near a tree. I was very dizzy. I remember a woman asking me what happened. I told her to fuck off o_O I passed out again and came to in my house. Someone carried me there. Collar bone broken.
2. I was 17 or so. I was slicing bread. The knife slipped and ended up on two of my fingers. I saw it... and after a second I understood what happened. I started to wave my hand around very fast. I collapsed near the sink. I poured water on my wound. I watched my silvery tendon with fascination... and the blood sprayed kitchen too >_< It ended with a mere scar on my fingers.

#23, 3. A judo class. I tried to pull on of my partners's legs from under him using my foot. Something went wrong. Suddenly, my toe was facing a strange direction o_O I started to howl/snicker/gasp. Coach told me to "pull it out". I did. The thing was that the pain was so big alredy I felt nothing as I yanked my toe in place. The bad thing is that when I was healing the goddamn toe I got arthritis >_< A coincidence?
There are quite a few of scars on my body (brow and nose for example) but I got them when I was a child, so I don't remember it.

when I was about 8, my dad was building an above ground pool in our backyard.
he had these piles of first from where he was digging the deepend. I was walking around those piles of dirt playing.
anyways, I stumbled and fell right into the pile of dirt - where there was a stick poking straight out...
me being me - of course I had to hit that stick with my eye... it pierced my eyelid and went right through...
by some miracle it missed my eyeball!
anyways I started screaming, and my dad couldn't figure out what was wrong with me until he pulled my hand away from my eye... I don't remember much of this at all - so this is how my dad tells the story. He apparently picked me up, yelled "I'm going to the hospital to my mom" and put me in the front seat of my mom's (beater) 4-door green '73 Malibu. He apparently took me to the hospital (about 8-10 miles away) going about 120mph the entire way... hey, faster than an ambulance back then.
anyways, I got it flushed out and cleaned (cont) |

... eventually some new plastic surgeon at the hospital repaired the damage... I had to wear an eye patch for awhile...
I'm lucky to still have that eye... you can't even see a scar or anything on my eyelid. |

#28, Still a slight headache, the bruise on the right side of my head (from the A-pillar) has pretty much gone away, but the bruise on the left side of my head (from the seat) has developed into a nice discolored welt, and blinking kinda hurts...
In other news, I finally lugged the 6-foot bookcase up to my second floor room... makes a rather nice large display area for my 1/18, 1/18 motorcycle, 1/24, 1/24 Nascar, 1/24 motorcycle and 1/32 diecasts.
I'm finally rearranging my room, it's been basically the same since we first moved here in '91. Out goes the old desk, old POS office chair, the old stereo system and GIANT '70s speakers (haven't used the system since the amplifier blew out about 5 years ago), and our 20 year old Casio keyboard... all to charity.
In comes the bookcase, a new computer desk, new office chair, and a hamper for my clothes. It'll finally be a respectable room. |
