My family still has a working 51' ( or is it 52'? can't remember) Ford 8N tractor that has served us faithfuly for over 20 years. There's still a lot of them out there being used by hobby farmers like us.

Built between 1948 and 1954, Ford manufactured a whopping HALF MILLION of these 8N's, though fewer than maybe 200 had the flathead V8 installed in them as a dealership option

MOst guys who wanted more power, bought a bigger tractor
