And its currently ghetto-rigged in place. The box sits in the spare tire seat, the spare tire is wedged between the box and the wall and the jack holds the tire in place, thereby holding the box in place.

My trunk contains a fucked compact spare (if I ever need it, I'm fucked), a fucked jack (same deal), NO carpeting whatsoever, and a roll of paper towels. (So if my car breaks down I can always fix it with paper towels :P ) None of that crap is bolted down, so whenever I hit a big bump, I hear everything flying around and banging inside the trunk.

I DO have some car care stuff in the passenger compartment of my car (like I said, it's still weird for me to have a car with a trunk separate from the passenger compartment) like a tool kit, jumper cables, squeegie, sun-shade for the windshield, and another roll of paper towels.

#1, Things in my trunk: LPG tank >_<, spare wheel, jack & wrench, set of screwdrivers and wrenches, spare bulbs, spare circuit breakers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, black trash bags (but they are too small to fit a body in... in one piece, anyway >:) ), toilet paper, paper towels, a SHITLOAD of my father's tools. Everything is affixed, none of the stuff moves even when I make handbrake turns/tear through gravel roads.

I usually have nothing in my trunk but the carpeting, a mini-spare, (bolted to the trunk floor, as it should be) and a jack/tire iron. Everything INSIDE the car is kept in either the center console or the pocket on the back of the passenger's seat. The glovebox rattles too much if I put anything in it, and it has terrible capacity anyway. I don't like having ANY loose stuff anwhere inside the car because I have a tendency to make stuff fly around.
