I think it was built on some WW2 era British truck... The cab is almost the same. Only too many axles o_O |

AEC Mammoth Major 8, built from 1934 to 1948, available in either 8x2 or 8x4 drive configurations. Despite its imposing size, it actually only made 110 horsepower. Granted, that was pretty considerable for the time, and due to the miracle of gearing, it was still capable of hauling up to 15 tons.
This particular Mammoth, sold new to an industrial alcohol company, was built in 1934, and it one of the first (if not THE first) Major 8 built. |
