I ll take the greyish one in the 3rd row center. Its apparently the old alpha male of the pack, making it the strongest, fastest and meanest killing... err, reconnaiscance machine of them all.

Gotta be impressed by a plane that gains length as it flys becuase of heat from air friction

When it landed, the plane used to "weep" fuel to the ground because of the expansion and heat.

#4, IIRC, the leaking on ground was so bad, and the engines consumed so much fuel on takeoff, that these things have to be refueled midair almost immediately after takeoff...

I remember reading somewhere that they're nearly empty when that take off, presumably because of the leaking issues, and that's what necessitates the immediate fueling.

#6, Yeah, I pretty much figured that they're nearly empty after takeoff which would necessitate immediate refueling... it's not hard to deduce. I mean, never heard of a plane with FULL fueltanks needing to be refueled...

#7, I think BECAUSE the plane leaks while on the ground, they only put enough fuel in it to get it airborne, THEN They can safely top off the tanks. Otherwise, well, you can surely see the problem in lighting up two afterburners while standing in a puddle of kerosene........

Nice to see the planes still meet and discuss political manners at their class reunion.
