Hmm. bad driver + fast car - death. Should have learned how to drive fast with smaller sports cars before investing in a ulta high speed exotic like that. I feel sorry for those people. |

Aren't there supposed to be rules that you can't race your car in a club-sanctioned event like that without some safety upgrades? For just this reason? Guess it depends on the club |

Thats odd. The damage doesnt look bad enough to be fatal. I have seen cars in MUCH worse condition where the driver lived. |

#5, The writeup doesn't say much, but could it be somthing as simple as not wearing a seatbelt? |

maybe lack of seatbelts... by the look of how close those seats are to the top of the windshield... maybe fatal head trauma? |

Found out some details on the Volvo board. Here is what was posted by someone there:
"A Ferrari was let on to the track by accident by a track worker as the Porsche was hitting the front straight at 150 mph. The Ferrari got on the track and the Porsche driver tried avoiding him and lost control.
Very sad. The owner of the Porsche was an awesome guy according to alot of people on 6speedonline, as well as a familyman"
Man that sucks.... |

#12, But still... the car is in remakable good shape for that kind of crash. I am really puzzled how someone could die in there. |

#13, Im sure that hitting a wall at 150 would create quite the g-forces. Apparently enough to kill a person. I know what you are saying, and this car is remarkably good in accidents aparently, but there is nothing that can save someone from a 150mph dead stop.

#14, Exactly, Earnhardt's car didn't get destroyed in the crash that killed him, it was the massive G-force from going from 190 to 0 in 10 feet.
Like mountainclimbers say, it's not the fall that kills, just the stop at the bottom |

#16, Craig Leiberman? Isn't he the guy who built those Skylines for 2F2F and Superstreet? |
