Description:
The upcoming Kia Grand Carnival (Will probably be badged as the Kia Grand Sedona in America)

The auto industry continues on its ongoing struggle to make the "mini" in minivan as meaningless as possible.

http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/clipboard03.jpg Yes. That's right. FOUR rows of seats, 11 seats total (!!)

I mean, Jesus Christ, normal "BIG" vans in the '80s didn't even have 11 seats...sure the 'extended' ones did, but that was it. Minivans are NOT mini anymore, save for the NORMAL Kia Sedona and the Mazda MPV.

...I applaud Mazda for refusing to release a non-mini minivan. Hell, they'll be introducing an even SMALLER van than the MPV in the coming years (not as a replacement, the MPV will still be around)

I applaud Mazda just like I applaud them and Ford for being the only pickup truck makers that STILL make an honest-to-goodness "compact" pickup truck, where everyone else has gone midsize >_<

(Well, Dodge never "went" midsize...they're the ones that started the whole class of vehicle with the Dakota in the '80s... and the Dakota wasn't even MEANT for America when the project started...it was meant to be a "full size" truck for the Japanese market, but that fell through, so they decided to release it in America, and it took off like crazy.)
