My dad sooooo wanted to get a Solara convertible, but the Toyota dealer kept on being an ass and giving him the runaround.

He ended up getting the VW Cabrio since it was a roomy convertible (for the front seats anyway), and was a great price, and the dealer was nice as could be.

It sure looked good in concept form. They softened it up for production too much.

#3, You may have noticed Toyota does that.

Now their cars are trying to exact revenge.

#4, As Jalopnik puts it, "Beige bites back"... I kinda agree with the notion that if Toyota vehicles were more exciting, drivers of Toyotas would be more apt to have the driving skills to handle situations that could pop up from faulty controls... uh, that, and if Toyota weren't so damn reliant on computer-controlled drive-by-wire systems (that are now fucking up)...

#5, Part of their problem is that they don't have any "halo cars" anymore. Every part of their image is built on their perceived quality. They put all of their eggs in one basket....never a smart move.

Now, I see where Acura got the TSX front fascia styling from.
