Rock sucks and is dying because of melodramatic, meaningless shit lyrics (like in this picture) and the fact that no one wants to innovate anymore. Rock will always be my first love in music, but until someone writes some truthful, meaningful lyrics and does something new with the music, I'm sticking with hip-hop and electronic.

#2, Dilinger Escape Plan, Mastadon... I'm sure there are a few other innovators out there, too. But for the most part, it's dead :(

#6, I mean mainstream rock, though. Don't feel bad the same is happening to all music. Corporate America (Corporate World, INC) is working hard to make our artistic, architectual and cultural future is as bland and easily marketable as possible, and that will spread to every thing we see, touch and drive :(

#11, dA = turning into a corporation rather than remaining the nice little art community that it's been since it was founded.

#9, Sad isn't it? I find it amazing that crap like shinedown, crossfade and the like are seeing the kind of play that they are.
