#4, I'm guessing they wouldn't spend all that time and money modding an '85, unless they swapped in a 4AGE effectively making it an '86 anyway.

I think I understand why we only got AE86s with fliplights... headlight-height requirements in America... the same reason we never got Nissan S13s with fixed headlights... we only got the 180SX(with a 2.4L engine making it a 240SX) and Onevias... (Silvias with 180SX frontends) ...and I guess the AE86s we got HAD to be "Corollas" since that was the name us Americans were familiar with.
