This band is to suburban white kids and frat boys what NWA was to ghetto black kids. Only difference is, I think NWA was good.

#3, Yes, I had a cousing who was very into the band. One day I asked him what the fuss was about and he lent me a live 2 cd set along with 2 albums. This was about 5 years ago so I forget which ones. I listened, and listened, and listened some more. Great musicians, good world music Peter Gabriel style beats and stuff... but so damn generic and vanilla. Adult contemporary defined.

Those are their only three that are worth listening to, as far as I'm concerned. I'm also not into all their flaky left-wing activism. Modern hippies.

DMB, like many other popular contemporary alt rock bands does absolutely nothing for me.
