Description:
Contrary to popular belief, the Chevy Nova actually sold well in Mexico. You see in Spanish 'No Va' means 'doesn't go' but when the the two words are together, it means 'exploding star' Why do you think so many Mexicans drive Novas? |

You are correct on 'No Va' meaning Does Not Go. But I don't believe Nova itself has any meaning in Spanish other than Nova.
Nova itself is Latin and doesn't mean exploding star. It means 'New'. A star that goes Nova does not explode, that would be a Supernova. |

Amoco means bugger. I know this because they don't have Amoco in the west and my wife busted up the first time she saw one in Chicago. |
