Description:
Skoda Octavia WRC.
Built...uh... VW tough (the car seemed to be indestructible) but it was too unwieldy to be successful.

The main problem of this car was that it was a mid-size sedan built on a Golf chassis. The result was a tiny wheelbase that gave the car a lot of inertia.

I still remember years back, from Speedvision's old WRC coverage, when a firetruck responding to a call missed a turn and plowed right into the Å koda team truck, destroying both cars that were to compete... weird shit can happen.

#2, I still miss the 2001-2005 days of WRC back then... vast array of manufacturers involved, many drivers on a level playing field...

I lost interest when Speedvision/Speed Channel stopped airing it, and when Loeb started winning EVERYTHING.

To be honest, I always loved Å koda's WRC cars... they always seemed a bit different than what everyone else was doing. The Hyundai Accent WRC was pretty neat looking, too.
