Description:
Eagle Summit sedan. This car is just damn odd.

Now, there WAS a Mitsubishi "Mirage" sedan ( http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/miragefront.jpg actually a rebadged Lancer.), which was actually completely different from the Mirage coupe.

...but Eagle decided to make a SEDAN out of the (Mirage) COUPE, rather than just rebadging the Mirage(Lancer) sedan.

Have I successfully confused all of you?

I'll try to re-explain it...
In the '90s, Mitsubishi had two different compact cars for sale throughout the world. The Mirage and the Lancer.

The Lancer was a 4-door sedan, on which their Evo rally cars were based.
The Mirage was a 2-door hatchback.

Here's where it gets weird... Mitsubishi wanted to expand their Mirage line, so they modified the hatchback and created the Mirage coupe (one of which I have :D )...

Mitsubishi in America decided to sell both the Mirage coupe and the Lancer sedan BOTH as the "Mirage."

...and, as some of you know, Dodge and Eagle got rebadged American-market Mirages as the Colt and Summit, respectively. But when Eagle came to the 4-door sedan, they decided to be different and completely design their own sedan based on the Mirage coupe rather than just rebadge the Lancer sedan. Weird weird weird.

#7, Uh, ok... the point of posting that was what exactly? That's a normal Colt coupe, just like the normal Mirage and Summit coupe...
