As opposed to fwhp and fwtq? I think its stupid how people actively distinguish between the two, when it should be blatantly obvious which wheels move the vehicle. |

#3, I've noticed too. If you can't tell by just looking at it or are too lazy to look it up - don't bother.
That - and how I think the Ridgeline is the only fwd "truck" I can think of. But even calling it that is wrong.

#4, I believe its all wheel, though front drive based. The Volvo XC90, I think is front based all wheel, as well. |

i guess they distinguish rwhp from fwhp because maybe you lose more through the drivetrain? im guessing. they also distinguish awhp b/c you tend to get alot of drivetrain loss by pushing all four wheels. |

I just refer to the brake horsepower, or the horsepower delivered at the crankshaft, I find those readings to be the most accurate. |

#3, Its more appropriate. You never know what someone does to a car. They may have put this as FWD.
"No they wouldn't! Its a truck. Why would someone put an engine like that AND convert it to FWD?! They would have to be an idiot!"
Need I point to the hundreds of WTF pics here where they take something awesome and spend $30k do something stupid with it? |

#11, Same. To me, a wheel horspower rating is nothing more than something that needs to be converted into the correct number, i.e., the crank rating.
In which case, this truck makes around 488 horsepower, assuming an average 18% power loss.
