Wow, domestic/import cross breeding. Just goes to show how versatile a GM 350 c.i.d. engine can be.
As long as you have the time to fabricate custom mounts, drive train, oil pans, coolant lines and trans mount of course. But I honestly don't dislike it, save for the obvious overuse of decals and brand name whoring.

If it were 10 years from now and it was a car with an engine that could have failed, I would have said "neat". But some moron going "SBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBCSBC" and replaces are perfectly good engine is dumb. |

#3, A valid point, but it's obvious this man is sponsored up the wazoo, and a sacrifice of a mere 3.5L V6 is s small price to pay. |

#5, A yes, the VQ, family to the VQ25DD, what is under the R34 Skyline's hood. But the 350Z's produces more bore and stroke and VTEC of course. But to a GM fanboy (espescially ones as severe as the LS1 crowd) this means nothing.

#8, RB25DET, RB26DETT, hybrid made my psycho Aussies, and RB20DETs (in r30's i think). But the current money engine is the RB26DETT.
Skylines in the 2005 JGTC ran VQ30DETT's. VQ35DE destoked with twin turbos

#8, I meant the non GT-R models
#9, I thought the RB26DET's were only in Tommy Kaira's(which was just an RB20/RB30 hybrid), or am I thinking RB30DE?

#10, Youre thinking weird. No current Skyline has an RB motor. |

#11, Well I'm not really talking about the newer Skylines. But I gotta re-check my facts. I thought the GT-R R34 had one with a neo head, but I guess that's not really considered a modern Skyline is it. |

The R32 GT-R and R33 GT-R came with the RB25DET. The R34 GT-R came with the RB26DETT. The biggest RB is the RB28DETT, it's just a bore'd RB26DETT. There is no RB30DE, you might be talking about the VG30DE. Yum, alphabet soup.

#18, Yeah, you can get them to 1000 horses without too much effort and with regular maintenance they can last up to 200K miles on the odometer. |
