A couple weeks ago, Speed Channel had one of those "Dream Car Garage" showdowns. This one involved small-block pony cars based on Trans Am racers of the 1960s. They had the major production cars--Camaro Z28, Boss Mustang, Challenger T/A, and some AMC Javelin--and they also had a real Trans Am Camaro. The most hilarious part was the 1/4 mile run. The actual Trans Am racer was barely faster than the fastest production car in getting to 60, but that was only because 1st gear was incredibly tall (it was obviously NOT intended to launch from a standstill). Nonetheless, they managed to squeeze a low 12 out of it..

They have some good stuff during the 10% of their airtime when they're not playing shows that cater to the "go fast, turn left" crowd.

#9, I agree. But still Nascar is boring! I want education shit about cool cars and stuff. Not "the talledga 5000000 brought to you by Skoal!"

#9, I whole-heartedly agree! NASCARS only cool when people crash! *throws spike strips across Daytona 500 track* Seriously, what does anyone get out of watching Jeff Gordon go in circles for 4 hours? It's like the baseball of the car sports world!
