#1, Rats, I wanted it. :( It's even a '99-01 model, before they put the ugly "sucking down two golf balls" front valence on. |

#2, I personally like the 02-04 valance better for the Cobra, I find it more distinctive and the car itself had a lot more hp. But I'll still take the S351 baby! It kicks the S281s ass. |

#3, More HP, yes. More overweight iron-block V8 and miscellaneous other bloat, also yes. Of the '99-04 V8 cars, I'd most want a Mach equipped with the suspension I currently have on my 4.2L trainwreck. |

#5, Whaddya know, it is 200 pounds heavier! What a lard ass! It's still faster though, if just barely. If I had my pic of the 99-04 stangs I'd take the SVT Cobra R, the best Ford Mustang of that gen imo. |

#6, It's 200 lbs. heavier, but more significantly, a great deal of it is in the front. The Cobra R was nice in that it was pretty close to being an unapologetic, uncompromising track car--it had the biggest brakes, good NA power, more suspension goodies than the others, and no air conditioning. |

#7, And it wasn't priced too cripplingly for it's very limited production of 300. It was also sans radio and back seat, distraction free driving, after all, is what racing is all about. |
