Description:
The forgotten Golf: Volkswagen Golf Rallye G60.
1.8l, supercharged, 160hp @ 5600rpm, 229Nm @ 3800-4000rpm, 5-speed gearbox, AWD, 1195kg, 0-100kph in 7.9 sec, 0-400m in 15.6 sec, top speed: 209kph.
It was never succesful in rallying and high price of street cars didn't help it's popularity either.

#1, I guess they did. O'Neil drove one of this in US rallies. The price can be surprisingly high, most cars are in collectors' hands, I think. |

#3, The definition of a hot hatch kinda excludes heavy supercharges AWD Golfs, sorry. The first gen GTi was a true hot hatch then it got worse... hot hatch has to be simply, light and cheap. So nothing like a Golf... |

#6, Hot hatches are cars like Peugeot 205 GTi, 106 Rally and S16, Citroen Saxo VTS, Ford Fiesta XR2i, etc. All have around 100hp and weight below 800kg. And they are/were cheap. |

#10, I once read a review of a 90-something Ford Taurus. It said the car felt... structurally unstable at 120kph and it was so wobbly and horribly understeery they didn't even take it to the slalom course. The played around a bit and once, after understeering for a whole minute on a skdpad (OK, this might be a bit of exaggeration :P) it suddenly decided to swap ends... and did so on two wheels, the car almost rolled o_O |

#15, I can't really say the totally sucked.. My father had some Taurii as his company cars (fuck I suck at english) and they were decent cars. In the 4 he had over a period of 5 years, none of them brokedown or had a serious malfunction.. just simple maintenance. |
