Description:
Facelifted 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis... I dunno, just something about it looks wrong to me. It's like they decided to see how cheaply they could facelift it or something...

...it really looks like one of those foreign-market quickie hackjobs...

I was actually going to say hey, the Kia Amante really stepped up! it looks like a CV/GMQ. This looks like a 1996 with cheap korean plastic chrome

#1, This car is basically using the same platform that was developed in the late '70s, right?

One thing that's been knawing on me, other than my cat, is that this reminded me of ANOTHER car, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it...'til it hit me.

Interesting... it appears that Mercury has been phased out of the Canadian market, yet the Grand Marquis is still for sale there, through Ford dealerships... but it still wears the Mercury badge even though there is no more Mercury there...

...and the Crown Vic is no longer sold to the public up there, only to fleet and police departments... so, they could have easily phased out the Grand Marquis along with the rest of the Mercury brand, and continued selling the Crown Vic, but no, they have to be Canananadians and do something wonky like this...

#10, on another note, I'm sure you know this, but the Freestar and Monterey are being dropped after this year, as well as the Freestyle.

The best way to improve the look of the '06 Grand Marquis is to just get an '05.
