Looks like a restored dealership or something to me. Perhaps they sell Studebaker parts. |

Guy who took the pics:
Yeah, the Studebaker dealership is really weird. I found out about it 3 years ago when I went to Talimena Drive for the first time with some fellow S2000 owners ( I had an S2000 before the WRX). We kinda just stumbled on the dealership and as we were looking through the window, this older gentleman came up asking us what we thought of the place, etc. After a lenthly conversation, he asked us if we would like to see inside. Turned out he was the owner! He is the president of an aircraft repair company in Mena Arkansas, and had a love for automobiles you wouldn't believe. He restored this dealership as a hobby, and had a whole bunch of cars inside, some rare ones too. He said his buddy was going to restore the gas station across the street and turn it into a Gulf station, but when we were there yesterday, all I saw was a Gulf sign on the building across the street, but no gas pumps. Maybe it's still in the works, or we just missed it. The next time I go I'll have to call him and see if he can give us another tour (it was closed yesterday). Really, a site to see for sure. I could picture something like "My Classic Car" (shown on Speed TV) doing a feature on this place. I mean, really, who would have thought a place like this would exist at the end of an awesome mountain road in what seemed at the time in the middle of nowhere? |
