Japanese red paint from the 1990's always sucked. Despite being a low km car in fantastic condition (slight fade on gold plated parts and a broken aftermarket fog light) my friends 1995 Integra had some pinkish parts. My other friends 1994 corrolla wagon was pink in 2001.

#25, http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm Yup. Sea Foam. Works wonders apparently, although I've never tried it myself.

FIRST car?! Hell, this is my third...

But honestly, I do love this car. Reliable, cheap to maintain, decent gas mileage... extremely lightweight and tossable... and hell, I can drive though Cocoa and Rockledge at night without worrying about being carjacked :D

#31, ooooops! My bad, sorry man. Yeah, well there's something to be said of beaters, I've had a few and they are very fun to, well, beat on. I drove my wife's beater '86 Camry "Katrinka" into work today, hasn't moved in a few months and I felt bad for her.

Eh, this is a beater, but I don't "beat on it"... I probably corner faster with it than I should (ask me how I once drifted it down an off-ramp in the rain*) but other than that, I'm very careful with it... I let it warm up before I do anything hard with the throttle, I let it wind down before shutting it off... I keep it well maintained... I want this freaking car to last.

*- no, wait, don't ask me. I don't want to relive that stupid act that could have ended badly.

#34, I learned to drift by almost killing myself, losing control and controling it takes stupidity and bravery in equal measure. If you're lucky, you'll live and get good at it.

Actually, hell, I will relive that stupid act...

I was being tailgated by an Eclipse that was really pissing me off... it was POURING... I hit the off-ramp, and didn't slow down enough... I just steered as much as I was comfortable with, and I felt the rear-end step out... I could feel the tires skidding... but I just kept my foot on the gas... I knew that the car being FWD, if I let off the gas too much, or hit the brakes, I'd be fucked... luckily I was able to keep the car sort of under control until the end of the ramp (it was a clover-leaf-style 270 degree roundabout off-ramp)... then the Eclipse just floored it and passed me when we got onto the other road...

#35, I learned to drift with the Torino, scary shit I tell you. Bald tires + wet pavement + first RWD car = WWAAAHHH!!!

sounds like a typical asshole. Last weekend, when I was in the Monte, I was coming home from a car wash (finally!) around 5 or so and some dick in a 2001+ ribbed Eclipse driving with his brights on came up really fast behind me, and I heard his tires screeching from hitting the brakes, so I sped up a bit, and he did too. We got to an intersection and the light was red. So naturally, I slow down and prepare to stop. Well, Mr. Inconsiderate brakes hard and goes into the right turn lane and passes me and runs the red light.

#36, Oh, I should probably mention, I hit the off-ramp at 65mph.
