Description:
So I finally have a car!
1989 Renault 5, 1108cc OHV inline-4, 45hp, 4 speed manual, 740kg.
Needs work. It ain't a showcar but I plan to build it into an amateur rally machine so it doesn't need to be :P

#5, No it does not. I've seen it jacked up and the underbelly and inside of whell wells are in pristine condition, no sign of rust. It just needs new trunk floor and some work under the front and rear windshields.

Damn... I'm FUCKED!!!
I can't find any performance parts for this car.
Kayaba makes gas shocks (stock shocks are filled only with oil) for R5 but they appear to be street units. Can't find any decent springs and the fact that te rear uses torsion bars makes me double FUCKED. I know ow to lower it but I can't stiffen it without changing those fucking torsion bars! I thought that stock shocks can be stiffened by changing the oil but they cannot be put apart.
Best thing is, I can't even find a sport replacement air filter. I'm really, really fucked...

#7, oh well. You seen the shit they do in Britain? I know there's a company that makes parts for these. Lemme see if I can help.

#8, There are loads of parts... for the Alpine Turbo >_<
I need all the help I can get. Even if I'll make a ghetto lowering the shocks will be too long and will be dead in 2 weeks.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS. I SIMPLY REFUSE.
I'm browsing the K&N online catalouge now and THEY HAVE NO air filter for a 1.1 R5. *dies*

PNT 57CM -- Punt it 57 centimeters, eh? With a car that light, you could probably get more distance than that with a good kick.

#11, Lemme see...
Oh, by the way, K&N even has an air filter for a goddamn 750cc Fiat Panda. A real preformer, no doubt.

Froggy lived a short but eventful life with me as its owner. It was an ubershitty car but only because it was worn out and neglected by previous owners. Kinda sad to such a cute car in such a state. Oh well, it now resides on the great special stage in heaven, even if it's only a butler there. That's still a lot more than all those wrecked rice rockets.
