#4, That just looks like a typical German 5-speed transmission, with R next to 1. My mother's Z3 has the same pattern, and I think Porsche does that, too.

It's pretty much the same as any other manual trans; they just moved reverse. In practice. you'd have to be an idiot to screw it up because they put a really stiff spring on the reverse gate, so you really have to pull the shifter over pretty hard. |

Every single time I get into an automatic-transmission car, it confuses me. So does FWD, really. |

#7, That seems like a good way to do it, not that there is anything particularly wrong with having it slightly offset and below fifth.
e:I took the buick to get inspected yesterday, it just seems odd not to go for the clutch. Plus the car freaks me out with the more spread out interior.

#13, Roomy interior? Reminds me that I need to get another MN12 sometime.
And strip it. |

#15, Not roomy as much as more open, I've gotten used to being able to operate all the controls without having to reach for anything. The extra slack in the brakes and steering, the steering in particular made me all http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/24...tpsyduck8ed.gif so much extra movement to get any action out of the wheels.

#9, correct-o. My friends Scirocco you have to push down and then go left and up to get reverse. |
