It could be anything, those Malibu fenders look like they're welded on top of some others, and the front end and hood look grafted on too. Is that what Japanese people think 1970s domestics were like?

it looks kinda like what a japanese version of a 77 malibu would look like. I think some late-70s model Toyota had stacked headlights like that.
