Description:
I believe this is an '82 Vette... the owner said it was a prototype of a special model, but that could have been wrong. Judge for yourselves. |

It's a nice Vette, even though I'm not a huge fan of the post 79 models. |

Yeah, this thing is just a normal vette with a few extra bits of ground effect tacked on.... and they're really not meshing well with it
Why oh why must 8 out of 10 vette' owners be absolute dicks??? |

#5, The slip from the GM proving grounds is an interesting (and not likely to be faked) piece of documentation.
I'll say this much....I know GM was experimenting heavily with turbochargers in the early 1980s. Hell, all the automakers were. The Yenko Turbo Z was made around this time, with cooperation from GM.
I also know that GM proving grounds tests some strange mules. Among them: A V8 front wheel drive first gen Lumina, a V8 RWD mid-'90s Bonneville (on a Caprice frame), a six-speed 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, a BMW V12 powered 1989 Caprice, and a four-wheel-steering IROC Camaro. Although most of these are still stored at GM's headquarters, some do find their way into public hands, such as the 1983 Caprice wagon that was used as a testbed for the C4 Corvette running gear and suspension. |
