That race was such an insult to the sport, and to the fans. The only high point was when Schumacher nearly crashed into Barrichello, although Monteiro seemed happy to have landed on the podium for once. |

#2, If they'd actually cared whether the people who paid to watch the race got their money's worth, they would've accepted one of the alternate suggestions, such as installing a chicane and disqualifying all Michelin teams from the points, rather than turning the thing into a Bridgestone hot-lapping session. |

Mosely's comments afterwards were pretty obnoxious, too. The gist of it was "tough crap, Bridgestone came prepared and Michelin didn't, and we're too stuck-up to come up with any sort of compromise." Apparently, somewhere along the way, he forgot that he was in the entertainment industry. If people don't watch, sponsors get bored and the money dries up. |

I never cared as much for Minardi up until this point when Stoddart agreed to the alternate solutions for the good of the sport - this despite the fact he was running Bridgestones. Like Jordan, he agreed to sit out with the Michelin teams until Jordan turned on their word, prompting Stoddart to run the Minardis.
And for the record, I think the CLS wheel theft occured back in the UK - Bernie hatred is a global thing, not just a US thing.
Forza Minardi! |

It's nice to see that the new V8 formula has thrown things a little off-balance early in the season, although the really big-money teams are already getting an advantage. The resurgence of catastrophic engine failures is rather entertaining, too. |
