"The ultra lightweight T1, which weighs less than 500kg, is a British designed 2-seater which has been developed using aerospace and high formula racing technology. The compact V8 engine develops approximately 500 hp and the resultant 1,000 hp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio enables the T1 to accelerate form 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and to from 0 to 100 mph in less than 10 seconds making it the world’s fastest accelerating and braking road car."

They've been raving about this thing for months in British car mags. It used to be called the 'Freestar', I shit you not. Apparently there is a team of ex-McLaren F1 road car engineers on board now.

If I owned something like this I'd probably be dead by the end of the week. Or at least to scared to be driving again any time soon.

This car did not have a good launch. Fifth Gear tested it and it caught on fire. Top Gear tested it and the floor fell out of it. A Dutch reviewer tested it and the suspension collapsed, causing it to veer off the road.
