Description:
Tarpon Springs Florida, New Year's Day 1992: Traveling at triple-digit speed, the driver of this rented Mustang slammed into the back of a dumptruck stopped at a redlight. The driver was quite drunk, and survived the crash only to spend the next 9 months in a coma.

That's pretty damn astounding for a clunky American convertible from the early '90s...

Driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt, either.

#2, Uhm... wow.

There's no hole in the windshield, so he didn't go through THAT... he didn't go OVER the windshield, because if he had, he would have had a face full of dumptruck ass at 100mph...

That is truly an unbelievable feat... and Darwin probably went back to the shooting range to make sure he wouldn't miss again :P

Judging by the fact that the door is popped off its hinges (and it doesn't look like the jaws of life did it, either) and the left windshield pillar is bent, I'm guessing he might have hit at an angle and was thrown forward and to the left, just avoiding hitting the glass.

Just my guess, anyway.

Maybe they had taken the governor out, but still. You'd need to be on a straight away for quite a while to get an engine with less than 100 hp to 3 digit speeds
