Leave it to Pixar to find a way to put a trucker hat on a truck...

What I really like about Cars is how Pixar is actually licencing REAL vehicles for the movie... give us car nuts something to look for :D

For a listing of the vehicles, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cars_(film)

Alas, I believe it's a big role. :( Hopefully Paul Newman will make up for it.

I'm not bound by the notion that I can outgrow movies intended for children...

...I love Pixar movies because the writing is very good, and the stories are not hacked together.

At first I thought it was odd that Pixar was doing something with inanimate objects as the subject for the characters, but then, after seeing every freaking CGI studio producing an anthropomorphic animal movie at the same time, I can't blame Pixar for going a different route.

#10, You'd have to be an idiot not to respect their attention to detail. Some "kids'" movies are lame, but Pixar has got to be doing something right, because they nail it every single time.

#10, I could be 30 and I'd still want to see it, the idea of cars having human characteristics has been something I dreamed about all my life, although I wanted to see the headlights being used as eyes, looks better. Ah who cares I would still see it with my 6 year old brother.

Well I must be an idiot then, because I just don't find all the cutesy humor or animation entertaining at all, it doesn't have to do with the actual quality of the movie as I'm sure it's very nicely animated or whatever. Most likely it's just the fact that my tastes have changed and I've grown tired of these dime-a-dozen cuddly happy ending cartoons whether the subject manner be cars or giraffes. Moreover I don't feel the need to instantly like everything people claim is good or funny, it might win an oscar but that doesn't mean I'll pay 8 bucks to see it.
