An Economics teacher at the high school that my mom teaches French and Spanish at came over for dinner, him and his wife. Wonderful people, great sense of humor... I had no idea he had a car like this... soooo bloody awesome.

It's a '91, with pieces from '82 Firebirds retrofitted, and various KITT-specific pieces to get the look... the interior is pretty much stock, but he has plans to modify it into what the show's car had, including the fighter-jet-style steering wheel... it currently has a 3.1L V6, but he has plans to swap in a 350 FI V8 crate engine.

...and I had to get the obligatory picture with ME in it, with my newly buzzed head.

Well, long story short, a few years back, an issue popped up, the administration "threw him under the bus" (in my opinion, unfairly), so he decided to quit teaching and go to law school... fully bar certified, he's now hinting on Facebook that he has bought an additional car, and the general consensus, due to his hints, is that he has bought a DeLorean...

[edit] Nevermind, he was yanking our chain.

Saw one of these at work the other day, the light stayed on when the engine was shut off, would've been cooler if it was at night. I checked, and it still had the stock dashboard.
