follow a person who is lobbing nukes at innocent people, thatll get conversions. if they were truly christ like they wouldn't use a threat of violence to evangilize. but that would require not having your head up your ass. (this is directed to a small minority of extremists, and can be applied to other religions.) i could rant much more, but this crotchety old atheist will bite his tounge.

#4, I'm christian and I go to church every sunday but when I meet christian extremists I think about converting to paganism. At least paganism is/was cool.

I think there's something wrong with anyone who follows any religion. Generally because they seem so inclined to whatever teachings were handed down to them from parents / grandparents / etc and never question it themseleves. No protestant orcatholic has EVER been able to answer me this: If dinosaurs were real (we have fossils and carbon dating to prove it) why does the bible says Adam & Eve came first? Why no mention of dinos?
As for this anti-atheism crap, another reason I hate religious zealots.
You can't ridicule gays, blacks, jews, women, the elderly, catholics, handicap, baptists, muslims, etc in society today, but atheists - they're okay to blast. As atheists, we can't speak up because we're so quick to be judged as evil or immoral. That's not usually the case - it's that we generally just don't believe in fairy tales or things like Santa or God. What's wrong about that? The picture's owner probably doesn't have enough intellect to form a valid response to that.

And you can also make a lot of fun of Catholics today. Look at the whole priest things. It's pretty insulting to think that the guy I turn to is a child molesting nazi follower.
My ex-co worker said it best "I believe in a universe created by god that includes evolution".

I don't believe in God, but I don't spend time attacking people who do. I don't push my beliefs on people nor do I appreciate assholes who think I'm some kind of feces throwing pagan because I choose not to believe in Heaven of Hell. I think Retta, psycho and DiRF said everything I would've said

#11, meh. you get used to it.
the only part that bugs me is when i challenge someone on a religous subject and they back down or try to answer with falicious arguments, or don't have their (biblical) facts straight. i studied religion for four years so i can hold my own...
and dirf pretty much nailed it - don't force it upon people or force others to live that way.

I don't have a problem with anyone for their own view of the world, I just hate self-righteousness of any stripe. My problem with most religious people is that somehow it seems like 9 times out of 10 self-righteousness follows religion.

LMAO, this picture struck me as extremely funny just now. It's so damn twisted...maybe it's the image of Jesus firing a projectile from his hands and creating an all-smiting mushroom cloud.
The fact that "atheist" is misspelled on the sign only heightens to goofiness of it.
