I'm confused. I could swear the Two Lane Blacktop car had a flip-up front/once piece nose element, not a hood on hinges.

#2, Could be one of those dual-opening dealies, where you have the option of opening the hood *or* flipping the whole front forward.

#3, I'm trying to recall if the car in the move had its hood open... can't remember.

#3, I think it was a dual opening. This car however only has a hood.

#5, I'd say this isn't an original move car then. But I think 2 or 3 were built, one had a rollcage in and was crashed in American Grafitti IIRC. Maybe the one in the picture is one of the two left, one used for interior shots or something?

#6, this wasn't in the movie. This is just a local car.

#4, It had the front flipped up during the gas station scene.

"Is that a 396?"
"454."
"No shit?"
"No shit."

#10, Yeah, but did it have the hood opened at some point?
