"Further emphasising its sporty nature, the Civic Type S is powered by either a 1.8 litre petrol engine or a 2.2 litre diesel engine, both of which produce 103kW/140PS and are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox."

how in the fuck is that sporty? ~140 hp? that was sporty 25 years ago! my 1000 dollar car is 30x more sporty than this 30,000 dollar car. from what ive seen euro spec cars suck. except for exotics and homoglation specials there isnt one european car that tickles my fancy.

I would consider 140hp sporty... depending on how much this fucker weighs. If it weighs less than 2700lbs, that would be enough power for me :D

according to honda.uk the civic sport has a curb weight of 1266 kg which is ~2800 lbs. although it gets alot better mpg than my car. 50+ on the highway.

#1, No, only german cars suck when it comes to sportiness and the new Civic is very german: 8 valve engines and beam rear suspension.

Want sporty in a Civic? Try the Si. Euro specials from the japanese usually suck nowadays.

I wish they sold the Accord Euro R here..or the SiR-t. 220-230hp in an Accord. Like it should be :P
