It's just amazing to think how much these things have appreciated in value since then.

Hell, these things are probably in a museum by now, or in the hands of a private collector

In order:

The 1958 TDF, which had been extensively raced since new contrary to the seller's claims, was originally British Racing Green. It still exists today, although in a garish red/blue racing livery: https://www.conceptcarz.com/profile...250-gt-tdf.aspx

The California, which had chassis number 2467GT, was wrecked in Durham with rear damage the year after this ad. Not sure if it was the seller or whoever bought it from him. It was rebuilt and is currently repainted black: https://www.conceptcarz.com/profile...california.aspx

The 250GTE was restored in 2009 in original colors, and sold at RM Sotheby's Paris in 2017 for 470,400 euros: https://www.classic.com/veh/1963-fe...farina-N4Vw0Vn/

The Lusso's history is largely unknown, though today it has since been repainted dark blue, and is absolutely gorgeous: https://www.conceptcarz.com/profile...0-gt-lusso.aspx

FWIW - the most expensive one at $7,500 would cost $53,000 in today's money.

That's still a Ferarri, but that's also still a lot more than your average gearhead has lying around.

#8, Just found at that the 1958 TDF today belongs to the guy who founded Long John Silver's.

#12, Damn... that sucks. They're generally a nice change of pace from the world of burger/chicken/taco fast food.

#13, A lot of them got shuttered in the mid 00's as the recession put a huge hit on seafood due to the knock on effect of fuel costs, they nearly went bankrupt as I understand it. Red Lobster had to close a number of locations too. Around here in the Northeast, they largely don't exist as stand-alone anymore, they're either merged with an A&W or other fast food place that operates from a common building or are set up inside preexisting things like truck stops and travel plazas. The days of them being a wholly independent national chain look to be over.

#14, Ours was a LJS/A&W co-branded restaurant. I used to like to get a fried shrimp plate with A&W Root Beer.

At least we still have a Captain D's.

The LJS near me was also tied up with an A&W Hot Dogs and More... it was actually a benefit, as it drastically improved the quality of LJS's fries. Few years back it became a standalone JLS again, but they kept the good fries.

As another off-topic side note, OMG A&W restaurants in Canada are soooooooooo much better than what we have as "A&W" in America. A&W in Canada reminds me of In 'n Out, in terms of the quality of their burgers.
