I rather like the previous gen curvy "baby supra" myself. Actually, I like all but the most recent. Those first-gens are pretty hot.

Apparently Toyota offered 49 variants (!) of the JDM Celica for 1979.

I can find numerous sources listing this figure, though I can't find any, even on Japanese websites, that actually list what these 49 variants were.

#8, Okay, having found an online JDM Celica brochure, they offered base LT cars, STs with 1.6 and 1.8 engines, the ST EFI edition, the XT with 1.6, 1.8, and 2.0 engines, the ST with 1.8s and 2.0s, GT the 2.0 and 1.6 engines, and the GT Rally with the same....all offered in both coupe and liftback variants, along with the Celica XX (Supra in this market), available in four trim levels.

That still only makes 30, so I have no idea what the other 19 are.
