Description:
07/2006 - LTR visits Breezewod PA, location of the abandoned turnpike tunnels, this is Rays' Hill Tunnel, closed in 1968 as it was too narrow and too short to handle increasingly large interstate truck traffic. It was one of 3 PA Turnpike Tunnels bypassed that year, the shortest at only 2,532ft (still almost a quarter mile)

More pictures will be comming soon to my website as it's a neat place to explore, here's how the same area looked back in 1982 about 15 years after abandonment, as you can see, nature is devouring what remains at a respectible rate.

#1, Fascinating. I can spend hours on those urban exploration sites, this is right up my alley.
