Description:
AWD Seat Leon 1.8T.

A trackday for tuners went wrong when the cheap-ass VW faux-AWD system suddenly decided to switch most of the torque to the rear wheels on corner entry. Nasty.

I always said these AWD systems were a mortal danger to every driver: especially the performance one. Here is proof.

All time, nonvariable AWD for the win.

#2, For safety too. How can anyone agree to drive a car that switches between FWD and AWD at a whim without the driver knowing it?

Sounds like driver error to me. Why would it suddenly shift 100% of the power unless there was some kind of mechanical/electric error? I've seen many pictures of hot Leons being held sideways through long corners and the journos always survive to tell us about the sticky steering, over-servoed brakes and rubbery shifter.

#4, It didn't transfer 100% of torque to the rear, it's impossible. It simply suddenly decided that, yeah, corner entry is a good place to add some engine braking to the rear wheels too.

Edit: and the driver was a tunah so no one knows what he did to make the car try to kill him. Also, he hails from 1/4 mile and the car was modified mainly with the quarter in mind.

It makes me giggle when drag racers try to claim that their cars handle well.
