There is not a shred of wood in the construction of the Aero 8, it's all bonded and rivited aluminum honeycomb. The only wood is cosmetic. Your thinking of the older Morgans, like the Plus 8 etc.

#1, Well, the cockpit of the race version still has this "cosmetic" wood where body frame should be.

#3, And I've seen the interior of the race version in a magazine.

Aluminium plays a big part in the construction of the car. The engine is mounted in a cradle constructed from aluminium extrusions, a design giving the necessary strength and durability for crash safety. Aluminium sections are also used in the construction of the chassis. These sections are bonded and riveted together to provide the required torsional stiffness. Alumium is used in the manufacture of some of the braking and suspension units contributing to the relatively light kerb weight of 1000kg. The body panels are also aluminium but incredibly they are still mounted onto an ash frame.

wait... maybe it is... I'll be damned I thought this car was all aluminum. I remember reading how it was a "huge departure" from tradition and so forth. My bad. Oh yeah, Marcoseseses did have wood in the chassis, though, of this I'm certain.

#6, Probably not, but then you wouldn't think this one had any wood in it either!

#7, Well, it's a Morgan... as far as I know it doesn't have anti-roll bars either!

#16, A gentleman walks but never runs.
Even when his Morgan/MG/Lotus/Austin Healey has just caught fire.

#15, British sports cars leak, rust and break down. It's the Italian sports cars that catch fire. :P
