I remember this; it was somebody's bright idea to Photoshop a Falcon nose onto the new Rustang. It's an improvement, if you ask me.. |

#3, I wouldn't buy a Mustang. I would buy something that looks like this, although I'd appreciate it if they'd also trim down the S197 platform a little. Damn thing is huge. |

This looks fantastic, a huge improvement. Still recognizeable as a Mustang, but not so... retro. |

The rest of the car is too retro for this front end to look right...you can't have a first generation Mustang body with this tacked on the front. |

#7, I disagree. I think the front end is the only overtly retro touch to the whole design and it looks out of place normally. |

#8, What I meant was that if the rest of the car looks like a first generation Mustang, then so should the front. This just doesn't make sense. |

#10, Exactly... I don't think the rest of it looks like a first gen 'Stang at all, the proportions are all wrong. |

I dig this quite a bit. And as far as the new Stang goes, I like it even if it does look a little droppy |

#12, I agree. The S197 is too large and thick to completely pull off a retro look. If they'd stuck a modern front end on it like they did with the SN95 series, it'd be fine. The later "new edge" SN95s had a few retro touches, like a trapezoidal grille with a "corral", random useless scoops, and three-bar taillamps, but they looked modern overall. If you stuck the S197 "retro" front end on there (and there's a body kit for this now!) they'd be hideous, too. |

I saw a SN-95 Saleen with an S-197 conversion, quite ridiculous |
