Sadness. I love Koenigseggs, if they ever develop their own engine and it's as awesome as the car it will be up there with the EB110, Yamaha OX99-11 and Mclaren F1 among my favorites.

I thought the CCX did have a completely inhouse designed engine?

[edit] Nevermind, looked it up... whilst the engine was mainly developed and is completely built by Koenigsegg, the engine is still based on the Ford modular V8...

#2, I like how you do that DiRF, answer your own questions... people always ask stuff that's pretty easily found with a simple google search, I think I've been guilty of it too.

#3, Yeah, at first I was going by Jeremy Clarkson saying it was a completely Koenigsegg designed engine... then I decided to double-check the validity of that, and holy crap, Clarkson was not entirely correct... is that possible? :P

#4, I've lost track of the erroneous things I've heard let loose from his ugly, gangly ass.

#4, I've lost track of the erroneous things I've heard let from him, he acts like such an authority too. Mister "I hate America but love the GT40 and cowboy boots".

I would personally consider myself a fan of Jeremy Clarkson... I love people who can make political incorrectness hilarious...

#7, Yeah, like good stand up comedians, I agree... I just don't find Clarkson particularly clever or funny. I do like the whole "Koenegsesggereraserererererrrr" bit though.

#4, I guess he didn't feel like complaining that the car was powered by a truck engine that day or something.

Apparently Steve Saleen insists on interviewing everyone who whises to buy one, only selling to those who pass.
