These are a good base for a budget drift machine. Buying one, prepping the body, welding a cage in, swapping a fiat 2.0L DOHC engine with gearbox, suspension mods and 100% diff lock: all of this for around 2500USD. |

The outdated suspension is a bonus, really. Sure, you put Bilstein shocks and stiffer springs on it so it doesn't handle like a muscle car *runs fast as hell* but you're still left with leaf springs at the back. It's easy to make the rear mounts of the leaf springs adjustable so you can tune rear ride height, stiffness and 4 wheel steering (yep! at least a bit of it) on the fly. Perfect for rookie drifters. |
